west moors motor company
« on: 22:44 Saturday 02 January 2010 »
hi to all !! just found this website and noticed a lot of locals on  it.
people will probably know the name for japanese performance cars, but my roots are old fords, due to my dad working for ford for over 50 years and growing up pulling them to pieces, rallying mark 1 and mark 2 escorts and a rear wheel drive fiesta, and between the family, probably owning or driving all of he old school fords made up to the late 90's !! i currently own a 1980 capri 3.0s that i have still not completed after 5 years of owning it, a1987 2.8i special that is just being completely repainted and my mid life crisis a v8 x-pack capri that has been stripped and painted terribly, that i am waiting for the painter to remedy.( i also have 3 other 2.8i' s for bits if any required )my mate that owns the garage at winkton auto centre, where i am currently now residing, has slowly been rebuilding his mark 1 escort that he has owned since the 80's, and has probably had every panel replaced and is virtually refurbished to group 4 spec. the sad part is that he is going to stick a vauxhall 16v turbo engine in it, animal !!!!!
so if you need any help or bits, please e-mail me i will be happy to add imput to the club
regards

Hi Rob,
Welcome to the forum. It is a bit quiet on here at the moment. Sounds like a nice collection of capri`s you have. What engine is in the V8. I have a 3.5l rover v8 in mine. The next club meeting is on 10th January at 7.30pm if you are interested.

That is a cool collection westmoorsmotors. Actually, I have a collection of things like you do, but it is in my house in the province and I too far from it. I really miss my collection.
