Hi, I received the message below via the club website. May be of interest to some of you although it is on the same day as cortina day & 4 other shows  on Julies list.

Hi all remember me {Yellow mk1 escort) 2007. I'm writing to invite you all to a car show at matchams leisure park on the 7th june all club stands are free and entry is free to driver of vehicle only any passengers will have to pay. £6 per adult £3 per child £18 family ticket (2 adults and up to 3 children). "Route 66" classic car show and autojumble is shaping up to be a good day. It would be lovely to see you all there and there are prizes for many different classes i.e best club stand, car of the show e.t.c. If you are able to attend please e-mail me and let me know numbers and cars that you will be bringing a.s.a.p. Many thanks Karl James

Well i went to a car show there last year as they told me there were 20 trade stands booked and a few clubs going, estimated 200 cars. There were actually 14 cars in total and no trade stands just a burger van, so i wont be wasting my money or time on that one.

this is a new event, we would like to make this a regular event, if people would just give this some support instead of giving it a bad name before its even started, every new event has to start somewhere so please show some support.

Hi Karl. Having had our first show this year, which went really well due to the support of other enthusiasts,  i would like to wish you good luck with your new show. Without people willing to put in the time and effort to organise these shows we wouldn't have anywhere to go and in return if the shows are not supported then nobody will organise them.
If I'm able to come then I will be in touch.
