Cortina xflow 5 speed
« on: 19:33 Sunday 29 March 2009 »
Hi people, Who out there can help me. I'm thinking of putting a 5 speed on the back of the xflow in my cortina :-\. I hear the type 9 bolts onto the xflow bellhousing, what clutch pressure plate, friction plate, prop etc do I need to use, any modifications to do & does anyone have the bits for sale ?
Cheers Chris

hey chris, The type 9 will need to be bolted to a 1600 crossflow bellhousing because thats the only crossflow box with a removable bellhousing, you then need a 2.0 litre cortina propshaft and clutch, you may need a 1600 friction and pressure plate depending on what size flywheel you have.

Hope this helps buddy, see ya at wheels day
