golden bonnet hindge award

hi guys looks like i might be in the running for the golden bonnet hinge award now, did a car boot sale today and after trying to start my tina for 15 mins at 6am in the morning got there ok.
went to come out of car boot sale started fine, drove in to the next field and then died !!!! :-[
thought it was the fuel pump so got picked up went to get some spares.
changed the pump, dissy cap rotar arm, coil, checked points no joy
had to get towed back by my mum ! she had never towed b4 and kept forgetting i was on the back pulling me out of a junction in front of an on comming car nearly got guts !!! and over speed bumps at 30 mph. never again !
i wouldnt of told you but got spotted by georgia who was at cheeters so it would of got out
will take the van next time  :D

Any idea yet what it was???
Strangely, my shed of a Cortina, been parked under hedge for last 6 months, done nothing to it, started first time.  Put it in for MOT to see what needed doing... Went straight through with just 3 minor minors (if that made sense).  Brought it a couple of new rear tyres as a treat, cos although others legal, what with winter coming and Cortinas well known handling qualities, thought it might save a few brown trouser moments.  Got to save up for tax now.

hi, sounds like you deserve a bravery medal more than the golden bonnet hinge award. ;D
