Well, its done
« on: 21:49 Thursday 08 July 2010 »
So, I did fit the home built xflow engine & all seems ok so far. Iv'e done a couple of hundred miles & this week fitted & plumbed in the bargain basement £100 (now rebuilt) twin 40's so they need setting on the rollers. I'll be having a word with Mark at Read Performance (New Milton) to get it booked in for a rolling road session & get the carbs balanced & jetted then its mot time again.
The Cortina welding is moving along slowly due to work commitments & nice weather & needs the lower rear quarter welded & some boot floor repairs. Then bolting back together, then its mot time for that one too !!
The plan with the Cortina is to fit bigger better brakes, electric fuel pump &kenlowe fan this winter along with a pinto. I did plan ahead & buy a complete Granada Cosworth to raid it for its engine & bits as this looks like a fun engine to put in the Estate at some point when funds allow. Any information on this conversion would be appreciated
Chris

Hi Chris, Sounds like you've been busy again. I'm struggling to find the time to wash the cars for classics at the castle; let alone anything else. A friend of mine fitted a 24v cozzy in his sierra using the auto gearbox, although he didn't get it running. I believe he is planning to try again with his new sierra. I thought i had bookmarked some sites that gave details on the conversion but i can't find them. i did find a wiring diagram though and have attached it
