Featuring 40 years of the Capri

The phrase ‘hundreds of cars’, ‘driving thousands of laps’ in cars ‘worth millions of pounds’, could apply to the Classic Retro & Sportscar Action Day.

Classic Week Info

Described as a unique blend of club show and all-out track action, the event blends genuine classic cars with modern sportscars, so expect to see anything from the Austin A35 to the latest sportscars.

Please note, preference will be given to pre 1980 cars in the display areas.

Always popular is the ‘Club Car of The Show’ Award where our team of experts are looking for the car that has given them the greatest pleasure to see displayed.

For Clubs, the coveted ‘Club Stand of the Show’ Award represents the efforts put in by many, to present an eye-catching display to attract new members and welcome old friends.

On the circuit, sessions will be split between genuine classic cars, modern classics and older and new sportscars.

At lunchtime, free for all Club members is the Giant Classic Cruise. Club Secretaries will be given full information, and for Capri drivers their own parade and 40 car cavalcade.

 

To appeal to those drivers who have not been on the circuit in the past there will be two ‘New-to-Track’ sessions for those that are happy to drive at a more moderate speed.

ACTION DAYS GENERAL INFORMATION:

This year’s Action Days will follow their usual successful format. Tweaked here and there, but fundamentally continuing the same excellent value for money.

Where else can you drive on a circuit for just £35.00, plus admission prices? Where else offers Owners Clubs free admission passes and display space?

Where else offers non-stop track action for the enthusiast?

Our Action Days cover just about every type of vehicle and enable enthusiasts to mix with like-minded owners as well as taking to the track.

For track users, the day is divided into time zones, so friends can get together to book a particular time, or Club’s, provided they can muster 28 cars, can book an exclusive session.

We keep a close watch on driving standards, issuing yellow and red cards to prevent the worst offenders getting back on the track.

There are lots of conditions to comply with. You must attend a briefing, your car will be sound-checked and unless going out in special sessions, should basically be road legal.


Sound Check

On all our Action Days, the sound limit is 100 dB(A) - measured at the exhaust pipe at 4500rpm on a static test. Your car may be completely road legal, but if it doesn’t meet our check - then sorry, it can’t go out.


Passengers

Passengers can purchase a Passenger Pass, valid all day, which includes Personal Accident Insurance.


Responsible Driving

The days are for enthusiasts to drive their road-registered cars (unless going out in specific sessions). The days are not test sessions for competitors or for drivers to show off their drifting skills or to drive in an aggressive and dangerous

manner. If you don’t want to comply with the rules, then please don’t come. It’s as simple as that.


Owners Clubs

If you are a member of a Club, or a Club Secretary, as long as your members’ cars fit in with the theme of the day then, subject to demand, you can apply for free stand space, free admission tickets and heavily discounted track time.

We particularly welcome Clubs who will aim to put on a show to complete for the ‘Club Stand of the Show’ Award, but for all we can promise you the first class facilities that you would expect at an international race circuit, big crowds, a great atmosphere and a chance to project your Club message to current and potential members.

Plus, of course, the chance to drive the challenge of Castle Combe Circuit.
