Slight modification with an air hacksaw. It was at this point that the thought,
“ WHAT the F--- have I done” crossed my mind
Rover V8 3.5l waiting to go in
It fits, well almost but more work with air
hacksaw will sort that out.
Bell housing and adapter from Magnum Engineering adapts v8 to ford type nine gearbox.
I went this route because it retains the ford gearbox & propshaft. Magnum engineering
also supplied manifolds, down pipes engine mounts as well as other parts.
Since I first owned a capri I have always dreamed of fitting a rover V8 (It`s the sound) and
these pages show how my conversion was done. I chose this route but each conversion is always going to be unique.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank every body that helped me including Alfie, Dell, Magnum Engineering
and especially my wife Anya without who's support I could never had finished this project.
I would also like to recommend the V8 Forum where I found the answers to many of the problems that I had to overcome
