Like all Capri Enthusiasts, I had always wanted a brooklands, or more correctly Capri280. Only 1038 of theses cars were produced in 1986 as a special edition at the end of production of the capri. Special features included metallic brooklands racing green paint, full raven leather interior with recaro seats and 15 inch alloys with 50 series low profile tyres.
Unfortunately my example was in need of a complete restoration which I had hoped to do as soon as funds allowed. The v8 conversion on Marmite cost more than I expected and so I made the difficult decision to sell the 280 to someone I knew would give the car the restoration it deserved.
